Advanced BOM Press Felt

In third-generation press felts, the warp and weft lines of the base mesh run strictly vertical. Under high line pressure, the mesh layers embed into each other, which significantly reduces the felt’s pressure resistance and water-holding capacity. As a result, the felt hardens easily, loses continuous dehydration efficiency, and experiences a shortened service life.

In contrast, the fourth-generation BOM press felt uses a 3D multi-axial laminated structure. Here, the warp and weft of each mesh layer do not cross at a traditional 90-degree angle but instead are oriented at special angles. Depending on the paper machine requirements, we stack the mesh layers into configurations such as X+Y or X+Y+Z. Consequently, the warp and weft lines of overlapping layers resist embedding, which improves resistance to high line pressure, accelerates water removal, and reduces steam consumption.

This series of press felts delivers exceptional performance:

Additionally, these press felts provide a stable structure, excellent compressive performance, strong continuous dehydration capacity, high strength, a flat felt surface, and resistance to deformation, resulting in a long service life.
